Vic Alt-Wednesday Webinar - September - VAD

On-demand recorded 4 Sep 2024

Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD)7 has been legally accessible under certain circumstances in Victoria for 5 years. The program is now lawful in every state and while passed by parliament it will not be accessible in ACT until late 2025 and it is not lawful in Northern Territory. A recent report from Go Gentle Australia suggests that given the number of people accessing the programs it is not a matter of “if” but when a patient will ask you about VAD. Are you ready? This session will focus on Victoria and ensuring you understand how the law and the program work so that you may be able to answer their questions. Even if you do not wish to take part in VAD  it is important you attend this session so you can answer your patient’s questions.
