Department of Health and RACGP Victoria webinar - Disaster Management & Mpox Update

On-demand recorded 27 Feb 2025

Join us for an informative and comprehensive webinar that will expand your understanding of disaster management and provide the latest updates on mpox (formerly known as monkeypox). This session is designed to equip general practitioners with practical strategies to prepare for and respond to public health emergencies, as well as the latest public health advice on mpox.

Throughout the webinar, you will gain valuable insights into the complexities of disaster management, including effective response coordination and preparedness. We’ll cover the critical steps needed to handle emergencies, from initial response to recovery, while addressing the unique challenges faced in healthcare settings during times of crisis. This component of the webinar will be closely linked with the Disaster Management AJGP January/February 2025 issue.

Additionally, the webinar will also focus on the latest evidence surrounding mpox, covering key areas such as vaccination, testing/diagnosis, treatment and public health advice for cases and contacts, and debunking of some common mpox myths.
