Teaching opportunities: We offer academic registrars the opportunity to undertake supervised practice across medical education activities, including large and small group teaching, clinical skills training, curriculum development, clinical supervision and assessment.

Teaching opportunities: We contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of the Melbourne Doctor of Medicine program. Through an academic post, we provide opportunities to refine your teaching abilities and deepen your understanding of medical education theory and practice, mentored by dedicated general practice academics within the department.

Area of research interest, activities, expertise or opportunities for academic post projects: Our department focuses on four research areas, including, chronic and complex illness, vulnerable populations, guideline development and implementation and women's sexual and reproductive health. Additionally, we are open to collaborating with registrars on education projects aimed at improving medical curriculum delivery to students. 

Teaching opportunities: We offer academic post registrars the opportunity to join a teaching team, instructing four rotations of general practice clinical skills to Monash medical students in their fourth year. Teaching takes place primarily in small group settings at the Alfred Hospital campus, with an opportunity to assist in objective structured clinical exams and other examination formats.
