Across Australia there are 10 training regions, some of which have subregions.

You can nominate your training region and pathway preferences when you make your application to the Australian General Practice Training Program.

2026 second intake

Due to an overwhelming number of applications in the first intake, there will be a limited number of training places available in the second 2026 AGPT Program application intake. Places will not be available in all training regions and pathways.
