Anthony has extensive experience and knowledge of the medical careers process in Australia, including the pathways for IMG doctors to embark on medical careers in Australia.
Anthony has worked in a number of Executive and medical workforce roles for over 25 years, including four years as the Executive Medical Director, Health ±«ÓãÊÓƵ & Training Institute of NSW.
Anthony currently works with thousands of individual doctors to assist them in applying for and preparing for job applications and career transitions. In addition Anthony works with a number of organisations, including several specialty medical colleges, on medical workforce related projects. Anthony hosts a very popular medical careers blog advancemed.com.au and YouTube channel the career doctor.

Dr Madan Mariappan
General Practitioner
Madan completed his basic medical degree and specialist training in India. In 2007 Madan started working as a GP in a rural community in QLD. He achieved Fellowship of the RACGP in 2009 and moved to Melbourne to continue physician training in 2011. After passing the specialist theory exam, he moved back to general practice to spend more time with family. Currently working as a full-time general practitioner in Carrum Downs, Victoria. He also works as a Medical Educator and supervisor with Eastern Victoria General Practice Training. Madan is an approved educator, mentor, and auditor for AHPRA. He is currently completing a Master of Science in Infectious diseases and going to commence a Master of Science in Community Health in Health Professions ±«ÓãÊÓƵ. His wife is also a GP who works alongside him. Together they have a daughter who has completed her bachelor’s in environmental engineering and starting her master’s in water resources management. They have two dogs, Toto and Tinkerbell.
Dr Sonia Singh
General Practitioner
Dr Singh is an IMG and a medical graduate from India. She moved to Australia in 2006, along with her family and started work on Flinders Island, Tasmania in 2006, after a brief induction in Hobart and Launceston she worked there until 2012. Sonia worked on Flinders Island and did locums all over Tasmania and Victoria during this time. In 2012 Sonia moved to WA. Sonia Fellowed in 2008 with the RACGP. Sonia enjoys travelling, reading and music.
